RACES. is a personal photography project documenting local road races and the people who run them. The project is rooted in the emotion of watching ordinary people do extraordinary things: training for months or even years to reach a finish line that holds personal meaning, whether for a cause, a loved one, healing, or a goal they once thought was impossible.

Photographing these races is a reminder of how strong people are. Running together becomes a reflection of resilience, vulnerability, and community: thousands of individuals carrying different stories, struggles, and motivations, yet moving forward side by side. Through this work, I hope to preserve the quiet determination, emotion, and human connection that exist within these shared moments of movement.
